Willow Weaving Workshop

A fabulous Sunday morning in Yew Tree Hall at the Willow Weaving workshop. Hosted by Peter Battrick of the Gardending Club, it was great to welcome back Graham Wigginton of West Cumbria Willow, who led the willing group of 10 through the delights of willow weaving.

Whether it was wispy willow for the weave or wide willow for the structure, Graham expertly showed us how to create a cylindrical plant support. The group made them in different shapes and sizes and will no doubt become a centre piece in our respective gardens. Graham encouraged us to take willow home to make or enhance our glorious masterpieces.
